Membership

Everyone is welcome to shop at the Co-op, but we encourage everyone to join and become members of the organization.  Membership in the Co-op comes with many benefits, not the least of which is the sense of belonging in a vibrant democratic organization, organized specifically to serve its constituents.

The Co-op is wholly owned by its membership, and members help choose store policy and vote for the Board of Directors.  The Board governs the Co-op on a day-to-day basis, selects the staff management, and decides on overall strategy.  For more specialized purposes we have empaneled separate committees devoted to areas like membership, outreach, and product issues.
