Parking in downtown New Brunswick is sometimes difficult, but parking at the Co-op is easy. We have five parking spaces of our own, reserved for Co-op shoppers and volunteers.
During the busiest times at the store, those five spaces will sometimes fill up. If that happens, at least one of these alternative parking arrangements is usually available:
- We share the parking lot with the Elks Lodge. If it’s a weekday, and you won’t need to park for very long, the Elks are usually generous enough to tolerate your quickly parking in one of their spaces. Please don’t abuse this kindness!
- We also share the parking lot with certain Middlesex County offices. If it’s not a business day, the Middlesex County spaces (all of them marked with bright yellow-orange signs) are available for general use, essentially without restriction.
There is also metered on-street parking on Morris Street, and on Livingston Avenue — but these are almost never needed.
