Hi all
I noticed today that someone is growing tomatoes in the space in the parking lot behind the co-op.
Hope that you had/have the soil tested before you eat anything.

Nobody planted them! Morris provided compost which happened to have some tomato seeds in it. Best as I know, nobody's eating those tomatoes.

lets call the whole thing off
whether they are tomatoes or potatoes-
tamatos or patatos-
don't eat them unless you dont care about eating food that is fertilized by car exhaust-might be a new kind of high

heirloom
Hybrids usually revert to a cherry tomatoe like variety-
Heirlooms might look the same or similar depending on cross pollination
What do yours look like?

Their shape is odd.
Sorta pear-like: narrow then ballooning out.
But small, at this point less than 3 inches long. Haven't tasted them yet, since still green.
Do they sound like anything you know?
I've also got a cherry tomato plant, a variety new to me. The tomato is a little bigger than the usual cherry tomato. And it's a sort of splotchy pink/grey. Not very attractive, and not too good tasting.
I got the seed in trade, and have no idea what it is.
[my first year growing tomatoes. I also grew one ramapo in a big pot in my driveway. It got a total of about 10-12 tomatoes. VERY delicious. - the ramapo definitely lived up to its reputation of being one sweet jersey tomato]
What kind do you grow, Rich?
