The Co-op has a lot of boxes -- we break them down but they can be put back together easily. As today was a delivery day, we should have a ton of fresh boxes in the alley right now. I'd suggest calling the store and seeing if you can come by.

The High Price of Cheap Food

Re: tomato plants in the back of the co-op building

Nobody planted them! Morris provided compost which happened to have some tomato seeds in it. Best as I know, nobody's eating those tomatoes.

Vermin: The Meat of the Future?

I hesitate to post this, partly because we're a vegetarian co-op and partly because even some meat-eaters find the notion of eating "alternative" animals & insects as distateful. Nonetheless, this article in Discover has some fascinating details of what meat-eaters might be eating (sim...

Group dinner, Sunday the 21st

Hey all, I'd like to get together a crew of us and go out for dinner. I know in the past Sunday nights have generally been good, so I'd like to nominate Sunday June 21st. There are two rules for our "VeggieTable" tradition: ⋅ Order vegetarian, unless your life somehow depends on ...
