- We invite you to join our 3 weeknight masterclass workshops that will culminate into a celebratory concert — a final performance of songs both individually and co-written.
We hope that from this free program, artists can:
● Grow in confidence and hone songwriting skills
● Grow their fan base
● Perform at venue spaces
● Make supportive friends!
We are looking for 5–8 singer–songwriters who want to promote and share their art.
Requirements:
● Minimum of 2-3 original songs OR
● At least 1 year of songwriting experience
● Must be 22-34 years old
● Must either be a Rutgers University New Brunswick alumni or live local to New Brunswick or surrounding areas. (ex: Highland Park, Edison, Piscataway, Somerset, etc.)
During our Songwriter Circle Workshops, artists will participate in 3 masterclasses taught by mentors Spook Handy and Charlotte Sessions, co-write songs in teams, and perform originals for our upcoming concert.
During our Songwriter Concert, artists will perform at least 1–2 songs; audience members can scan QR code to follow you on socials, give feedback, etc.
Workshop: Every Friday evening 5:30–8:30pm starting January 12th, ending January 26th
