Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Middlesex County Seeks Volunteers!

Be the VOICE for an abused or neglected child. Give that child HOPE for the future.

BECOME A COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE!

There are currently more than 9,000 children in the foster care system in New Jersey who are the victims of abuse and neglect. Over 500 of those children are from Middlesex County alone. Many of these children become trapped in the court and child welfare systems spending their childhood moving from one temporary foster home to another. YOU can make a difference by becoming a COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE (CASA).

YOU CAN BE THE VOICE FOR A CHILD. YOU CAN GIVE THAT HOPE.

The goal of the CASA volunteer is to facilitate placement of a child into safe, permanent home. We are looking for individuals with a desire to help children – no special background is needed. CASA volunteers receive 30 hours of training prior to being appointed by the court as an advocate in addition to ongoing supervision from the CASA of Middlesex County staff. CASA of Middlesex County is currently looking for applicants for the Winter training class which will begin in February 2011.

Located in New Brunswick.
