New Brunswick Petition to nominate locals to Charter Study

Post by Morris Kafka »

Hi! This text comes to me from a woman active in the 2nd Ward in various community capacities. Time is short. If you live in New Brunswick please consider signing for her and the other locals who are working hard on this issue. Having a variety of local residents on the commission will help to add valuable perspectives to this process. If people want to sign, please call Marge at 732 846 6763 (home)or e-mail margeker@optonline.net and
she'lll arrange it.

Thanks, MK

"There has not yet been a decision with the court case over which
question will be on the ballot in November (Did you want a Ward based
government versus Charter Study Commission). Because of this, Empower
our Neighborhood has decided to assume the worst and put 5 pro-Ward
residents on the ballot to be commissioners for this charter study. I am
presently collecting signatures for 4 of these people: Marge Kerber
(myself), Cedrick Goodman, Jerry Mercado and Erik Straub. We need at
least 100 signatures from registered voters who reside in New Brunswick
in order to get our names on the ballot. The petitions need to be turned
in to the City Clerk on September 3."
