Personnel Committee meeting
Thursday, April 26 at 5:30pmThe Personnel Committee meets in the Co-op upstairs at 5:30pm on the fourth Thursday of each month. All Co-op members are welcome to attend.

Thursday, April 26 at 6:00pmThe Facilities Committee meets in the Co-op Café at 6pm most Thursdays. Discussion focuses on planning facilities changes at the Co-op. All Co-op members are welcome to attend!
Organic Open Mic at the Café!
Thursday, April 26 at 7:45pmA beautiful open mic at the George Street Co-op Café, every Thursday. Signups start at 7:45pm, performances start at 8:00pm. There’s no cover, and all types of performers are welcome! For more information, join our Facebook group.
Arbor Day
Friday, April 27Arbor Day is an national day of celebration to encourage the care and planting of trees. It started in Nebraska in 1872 and has since spread around the world, though different countries celebrate it on different days. In the United States it falls on the last Friday in April. The Positive Potluck
Friday, April 27 at 7:30pmA peaceful and positive potluck gathering of friends. The potluck tradition is that everyone brings a little something, and together we’ll have a great and varied feast!
The Co-op is a vegetarian space, so please bring only vegetarian or vegan foods.
Outreach Committee Meeting
Sunday, April 29 at 6:15pmThe Outreach Committee meets in the Co-op Café at 6:15pm, usually first and third Sundays. Discussion focuses on planning social, educational, and recreational community events, along with spreading the good word about the Co-op. All Co-op members are welcome to attend!
Open Bluegrass Jam at the Café!
Sunday, May 6 at 3:00pmBring your mandolin, fiddle, guitar, banjo, dobro, or acoustic bass for a bluegrass jam session at the George Street Co-op! Pickers of all skill levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to show off your well-honed bluegrass chops or to learn a bit about a unique and exciting genre of music. Players and audience are all welcome.

Spring 2015 Referendum Results
The results of the latest membership referendum are in:
1. Members voted to give the Board of Directors the power to change the Co-op’s senior citizen discount policy.
2. Members voted to permit electronic voting in future referendum votes.
3. Members re-elected Marilynn Winston, Chad Hetman, and John Leary to continue serving on the Board of Directors.
Time for the Spring 2015 referendum!
Co-op members, the official ballot box is here! You have TWO WEEKS (until Saturday April 4th) to mail in your referendum ballot, or to return it in-person to the store. The store’s future is yours — be a part of the process!
2013 Referendum Results
Our co op has recently concluded our 2013 referendum. Thank you to everyone who participated, your input is vital. An important change to our membership structure has passed. Once implemented, memberships will renew on the anniversary of joining, rather than every August.
Additionally, all seven Board of Director appointments were ratified by membership vote.
VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
As a member of the George Street Co Op, you will receive your 2013 referendum in the mail. There are EIGHT questions. Question 1 deals with membership terms, and the remaining seven are ballot votes for each of the seats on the Board of Directors.
